#TBT: Remembering the Ram D150

If you are a fan of history, trucks, and Thursdays, then you may want to sit down in order to avoid getting too excited about today's post. That's right, it's Throwback Thursday, and today on Twitter @RamTrucks is highlighting a classic pickup: the 1992 Dodge Ram D150. Deep breaths, everyone-- we'll give you a few quick facts after the tweet.

  • The Ram D150 shared a platform (known as AD) with other trucks such as the Plymouth Trailduster, and the Dodge Ramcharger.
  • The numbers 150, 250, and 350 represented payload capacities of one-half-ton, three-quarter-ton, and one-ton, respectively.
  • The Ram D150's Cummins B Series engine produced just 160 horsepower from its 6 cylinders.
  • However, it also made 440 pount-feet of torque.
  • It is an ancestor of the current Ram 1500

If you're in the market for a new pickup, and are considering joining the hard-working Ram family, we'd like to invite you to visit us for a test drive. Our friendly staff is standing by, ready to help in any way.
