Jeep Cherokee Making a Return

The 2014 model year for Jeep vehicles is shaping up to be an exciting one. We already have new 2014 Jeep Compass and Grand Cherokee models in stock now at Brickner's of Antigo and in the next couple of months, more will be on the way.

Although the name was retired in the early 2000s, the Jeep Cherokee is still a well known SUV across the country, with many models still on the road today. We're excited to announce that it's being reintroduced for the 2014 model year, replacing the Liberty. With a completely refreshed design, this isn't the Cherokee you remember - it's better.

The exterior shows the future of the crossover SUV - sleek, technologically advanced and fully capable. The new Jeep Cherokee features a 3.2 liter V6 Pentastar engine that boasts 271 horsepower and 239 pound-per-foot of torque - enough to tow 4,500 pounds. Not only will it feature more power, it is also more fuel efficient than the outgoing Liberty - 45 percent better to be exact, achieving 31 highway mpg.

The exterior has sleek lines, slim headlamps and rear taillights and distinctive seven-bar grille. A rugged Trailhawk version will be available with off-road ready features like skid plates, wider fender flairs, sturdy all-terrain tires and red front tow hooks.

The brand is hoping to solidify its place in the crossover market, and we believe this is just the vehicle to the job. Pricing hasn't been announced yet, but should be available when we near the production date, slated for May. Check back on our blog often - we'll be sure to let you know the latest news regarding this famous vehicle. Stop into our dealership and test drive one of the 2014 Jeep models we have on our lot now.
